WSP is currently initiating a search for an On Call Drawings Helper in El Paso, TX. The selected candidate will be on‑site at our client's facility performing hard copy drawing digitization and cataloging services. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Mechanical and Piping Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
This position is subject to and contingent upon WSP award of work.
- Under general supervision, performs project work that assists the Engineering Drawing Vault Digitization project.
- Provide on‑site assembly assistance for the assembly of the photo‑copying table.
- Provide photo‑copying services for the Refinery division drawings.
- Title Block data entry services for the Refinery division drawings.
- Rolodex card data entry services for the complete Rolodex card set.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- High School Diploma.
- 0‑2 years’ experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft SharePoint.
- The ability to perform repetitive tasks independently for extended periods.
- A mobile device capable of communication via phone calls or text messages.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- The ability to commute to work daily.
- Highly accurate and detail oriented.
- Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to demonstrate our core values of honesty, fairness, respect, trust, and integrity.
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety‑related instructions and procedures given in English.
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, procedures, and applicable safety standards.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, or climb stairs.
- Effective self‑leadership with attention to detail, ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, and comply with company policies.
- Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Current college/university enrollment, working towards BS in Mechanical Engineering, Junior or above.
The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
