Position Summary
The Operator I is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging products according to established work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures. This position works in a fast-paced production environment and contributes to achieving daily production goals while maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Assemble components and products according to detailed work instructions and specifications.
* Perform basic testing, inspection, and verification of products to ensure quality standards are met.
* Operate production equipment, hand tools, and testing devices as required.
* Identify and report defects, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to supervisors.
* Maintain accurate production and quality records.
* Package finished products and prepare materials for shipment.
* Follow all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and company standards.
* Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality expectations.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings as required.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production experience preferred but not required.
* Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
* Basic computer skills preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
* Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
* Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and twist throughout the shift.
* Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Work Environment
* Manufacturing and production facility environment.
* Exposure to noise, machinery, and production equipment.
* Required use of PPE and adherence to all safety guidelines.
