Position Summary
The Operator II is responsible for performing intermediate-level manufacturing, assembly, testing, and production activities in support of Wiwynn's data center and server manufacturing operations. This position requires a higher level of technical proficiency, product knowledge, and independent decision-making than Operator I. The Operator II ensures products meet quality standards while maintaining productivity, safety, and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Assemble, configure, and test server systems, racks, and electronic components according to engineering specifications and work instructions.
* Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and basic diagnostics on products and equipment.
* Identify, analyze, and resolve production issues while escalating complex problems as needed.
* Operate production equipment and testing tools safely and efficiently.
* Conduct quality inspections and verify compliance with manufacturing standards.
* Accurately complete production documentation, quality records, and inventory transactions.
* Train and mentor new operators on work processes, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in process improvement activities.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and company guidelines.
* Meet production schedules and departmental performance metrics.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required.
* 1-3 years of manufacturing, production, assembly, or electronics experience preferred.
* Experience working with computer hardware, server assembly, or technical manufacturing environments is a plus.
* Ability to read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, and technical documentation.
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with manufacturing systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
* Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
* Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical or electrical issues.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
* Ability to work overtime, weekends, or flexible schedules as needed.
Work Environment
* Manufacturing and production facility.
* Exposure to production equipment, machinery, and electronic components.
* Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Fast-paced environment with productivity and quality expectations.
