Sewing Machine Operator

Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in thermal insulation solutions, is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator, you will be part of the Production Department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sewing Machine Operator

Location: El Paso, TX

Pay Range: $14.00 to $18.00

Shift: 8am - 5pm

What's the Job?

• Cut, assemble, and sew heavy-duty thermal insulation blankets used on engines and exhaust systems.
• Operate industrial sewing machines, including walking-foot, zig-zag, and bar-tack machines, to stitch multi-layer textiles.
• Follow templates, work orders, and quality standards to produce consistent, high-quality seams and closures.
• Handle materials safely, including items weighing up to approximately 25 lbs, and maintain proper material handling procedures.
• Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure stitch density, reinforcement, and closure alignment meet specifications.

What's Needed?

• At least 1 year of industrial or upholstery sewing experience with heavy fabrics or technical textiles.
• Proficiency with industrial sewing machines and basic preventive maintenance skills.
• Ability to read templates, patterns, tape measures, and production travelers, along with basic math skills for measurements.
• Manual handling capability for materials and finished goods up to approximately 25 lbs.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety in a production environment.
