Lab Technician

Position: LAB TECHNICIAN

* Supervises the daily operation of the glaze preparation area.

* Monitors production processes to ensure glaze quality control measures are met.

* Maintains raw material inventories.

* Schedules production of base glaze for manufacture of required colors.

* Coordinates maintenance needs for departmental operations.

* Ensures operations are within specifications.

* Interviews applicants and trains employees as needed.

* Complete all required training, including ergonomic, safety, health and environmental.

* Identify and adjust workstation arrangement, work practices, and workflow to reduce risk factors

* Report issues to supervisor/manager when unable to control risk factor/s.

* Report symptoms of injury/illness and concerns when first noted.

* Participate in incident investigation.

* Use ergonomic equipment provided

* Demonstrate safe work practices.

* Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies and procedures of plant.

* Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.
