We are seeking a Heel Finisher to support our Finishing Department by executing the final preparation of boot heels and soles with precision and care
. This role is essential to maintaining our standards of craftsmanship and ensuring consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate rotary and manual sanders to smooth the sole and heel areas of boots while ensuring no damage to leather or boot tops.
• Inspect boot soles for exposed nails and tacks, using mallets and tools to flatten them for a smooth finish.
• Perform quality checks to ensure soles are smooth, nails are barely visible, and meet comfort and safety standards.
• Follow safety protocols, avoiding direct contact with sanding surfaces and handling tools carefully to prevent injury.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
• Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Use of hands, tools, or equipment as required.
• This is an on-site position at our facility.
• Work may involve exposure to leather materials, adhesives, and mechanical equipment.
• Noise level and temperature may vary depending on department.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (weekends as needed). 40 hours a week plus overtime as needed.
• Shift hours may vary between 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM depending on department assignment.
