Oversee all aspects of the inventory management for raw materials and finished goods within the production facility. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, security, and quality across all inventory-related processes and supports smooth, reliable production operations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage and control continuous inventory stock counting/inventory accuracy checks.
- Minimize overstocks and remove obsolete or redundant raw materials to optimize availability and working capital.
- Ensure raw and finished materials are properly organized and controlled to support production needs and overall business goals.
- Ensure all incoming products are received and processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide routine management reports and insights related to inventory performance.
- Update, adjust, and maintain usage numbers for all raw materials
- Track and control overcuts and undercuts for all production jobs.
- Maintain consumables inventory within the manufacturing software system.
- Enter quantities for issued parts, transferred materials, and inventory or cycle count adjustments into the database.
- Investigate and resolve quantity discrepancies by working closely with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
- Prepare monthly reports for cycle counts and pick-list counts for monthly highlights.
- Prepare for and participate in the annual physical inventory.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with inventory control, stock management, or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP or inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and resolve inventory-related issues effectively.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
- Ability to lift, move, or handle materials as required by the position and perform physical inventory activities
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or materials management.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP or inventory management systems a plus
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 10 - 25 lbs as needed.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with inventory handling.
- Must be able to safely use ladders, carts, and material-handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a warehouse/production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Must maintain visual accuracy for reading labels, counts, and computer entries.
- Work is performed in a production and warehouse environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and material handling required.
- May be exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment.
- Must be able to lift or move materials as needed for inventory activities.
- Requires the ability to work safely and follow all company safety guidelines.
