Lab Technician

Job Details:

• Supervises the daily operation of the glaze preparation area.
• Monitors production processes to ensure glaze quality control measures are met.
• Maintains raw material inventories.
  
  Schedules production of base glaze for manufacture of required colors.
• Coordinates maintenance needs for departmental operations.
• Ensures operations are within specifications.
  
  Interviews applicants and trains employees as needed.
• Complete all required training, including ergonomic, safety, health and environmental.
• Identify and adjust workstation arrangement, work practices, and workflow to reduce risk factors.
• Report issues to supervisor/manager when unable to control risk factor/s.
• Report symptoms of injury/illness and concerns when first noted.
• Participate in incident investigation.
• Use ergonomic equipment provided.
• Demonstrate safe work practices.
• Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies and procedures of plant.
• Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.
