Material Handler

This position is based at our brand new facility in El Paso, TX and will work a first shift. NO FORKLIFT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED. 1st shift, 7am to 3:45pm. The Material Handler will provide manufacturing expertise and support including, but not limited to, allocation of materials, verifying, receiving, and shipping with the overall goal of timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton's quality standards.

• Use forklift or power equipment to move and store a variety of materials, parts or products.

• Unload incoming material from trailers, vehicles, etc

• Transport items from staging area or from finished goods to storage area

• Store, stack, and arrange material and maintain related documentation

• Verify, identify, and quantify items received against purchase order.

• Visually inspect and count items / incoming parts, materials and supplies to detect shortages, damage in transit, obvious defects

• Receive and carry out work assignments to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.

• Comply with all safety and industrial hygiene requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner.

• Understand and meet all departmental safety objectives and goals.

• Support assigned work-area clean and organized per 5S standards.

• Support and work with members of a team to effectively complete work assignment.

• Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.

Basic Qualifications:

• Valid OSHA license

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 35lbs with reasonable accommodation.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or military experience

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
