TECHNICAL OPERATOR I - B Shift

Primary Objective:
Monitor operation of all machines within the department to ensure optimal production efficiencies.

• Operate and adjust industrial machinery and equipment to stay within product parameters.
• Ensure all products are processed within the department assigned.
• Perform quality checks and document results on appropriate paperwork.
• Clean machinery, equipment, and work area with provided supplies and utensils.
• Maintain and repair production equipment of assigned department.
• Assist in training operators within the department.
• Work with technicians and contractors on training procedures and maintenance of machinery.
• Maintain a clean work area and proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
• Communicate quality issues and problems to supervisor/manager.
• Monitor product volume, quality, and record data.
• Comply and support Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Fine‑tune sorting line to adhere to pieces per minute requirements.
• Knowledge of flaw master functions.
• Knowledge of label machine, system and adjustments.
• Adjustments of techno speeds and parameters.
• Use basic tool list supplied by department for minor adjustments as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certificate preferred).
• 1+ years of previous manufacturing/production experience.
• Experience working at a height requiring fall protection.
• Good oral communication skills, good listening skills, ability to understand and speak basic English.

• Required to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms; walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; may sit, climb or balance.
• May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision requirements: close vision, peripheral vision, ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, wide range of temperatures, and loud noise.
