Dal‑Tile is currently seeking a Technical Operator I to join our team. This role requires the ability to adjust industrial machinery and equipment to meet product parameters.

Monitors operation of all machines within the department to ensure optimal production efficiencies.

• Operates, adjusts industrial machinery and equipment to meet product parameters.
• Ensures all product is processed within the department assigned.
• Performs quality checks of work and documents results on appropriate paperwork.
• Cleans machinery, equipment, and work area with provided supplies and utensils.
• Maintains and repairs production equipment of assigned department.
• Assists in training operators within the department.
• Collaborates with technicians and contractors on training procedures and maintenance of machinery.
• Maintains a clean work area, including proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
• Communicates quality issues and problems to supervisor/manager.
• Monitors product volume, quality, and records data.
• Complies with and supports Environment Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Fine tune sorting line to meet pieces per minute requirements.
• Knowledge of flaw master functions.
• Knowledge of label machine, system, and adjustments.
• Adjust technical speeds and parameters.
• Use basic tool list supplied by department for minor adjustments.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience;
  Technical Certificate preferred.
• 1+ years previous manufacturing/production experience.

• Routinely works at a height that requires fall protection.
• Good oral communication, listening, and basic English skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sit, climb, or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The associate is exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, wide temperature ranges, and loud noise.
