The following responsibilities describe the primary functions of the position and are not intended to be all-inclusive:
- Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs for the manufacturing of precision-machined parts.
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machinery according to job requirements, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, technical specifications, and production documentation to determine machining sequences, tooling, work holding, and cutting parameters.
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, tool offsets, and necessary process adjustments.
- Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specified requirements.
- Identify machining process deviations and make authorized adjustments to maintain product quality and process stability.
- Monitor machine performance, tooling conditions, and machining processes to identify potential issues before they affect product quality.
- Immediately report equipment malfunctions, tooling issues, quality concerns, or unsafe conditions to the Production Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and perform basic autonomous maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Follow the company's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System procedures and applicable customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records as required by company procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing productivity, reducing waste, improving efficiency, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Follow all applicable industrial safety requirements and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Knowledge
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and machine operation.
- Experience with Mastercam, SURFCAM, Feature CAM, SOLIDWORKS CAM, or similar CAM software preferred.
- Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming, trigonometry, multiple machine setups, cutting speeds, and feeds.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, inside and outside micrometers, indicators, depth gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, inserts, work holding devices, and machining fixtures.
- Understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and basic principles of precision manufacturing.
