Assistant Operator

Green Bay Packaging is seeking an Assistant Operator to support safe, efficient production of corrugated packaging and paperboard products. In this on-site manufacturing role, you will assist lead operators with machine setup, operation, and changeovers; perform quality checks; and handle materials to keep lines running smoothly. You will follow strict safety and housekeeping standards while learning to operate advanced converting and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production and converting equipment under guidance of lead operators
• Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and basic adjustments to meet production specifications
• Inspect corrugated and paperboard products for quality, accuracy, and defects
• Handle raw materials and finished goods, including loading, stacking, and basic material movements
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and housekeeping standards in the manufacturing area
• Record basic production data and communicate issues to supervisors or maintenance
• Support routine cleaning and minor preventative maintenance on equipment
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and efficiency goals
• Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements
• Participate in training to learn new equipment, processes, and safety practices
