Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking Operator Trainees for their El Paso Refinery. These positions involve overseeing day-to-day refinery operations, working rotating 12-hour shifts, and learning multiple operational roles. Ideal candidates are motivated, safety-conscious, and eager to develop their skills in a dynamic industrial environment.

• Wage:
  Up to $56.66 per hour (starting at $34.58/hr)

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime
• Good mechanical aptitude and communication skills
• Ability to learn complex refinery material
• Basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills
• Willingness to perform fire and emergency response activities
• Ability to wear all required PPE, including self-contained breathing apparatus
• Pass pre-employment assessment, drug/alcohol and medical screenings, and background check
• Physically able to climb, lift up to 50 lbs., carry 10-20 lbs., push/pull up to 250 lbs. with assistance, and work in confined spaces

• At least three years’ work experience in operations or maintenance at an industrial site
• Vocational technical training in petrochemical/manufacturing or related field
• Previous petroleum refinery or petrochemical plant experience
