The VISTA Data and Evaluation Specialist will strengthen the University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso by developing the data systems, reporting tools, and narrative resources that enhance fundraising capacity and communicate the healthcare needs of low- to moderate-income residents. The member will design a process for maintaining and retrieving donor data, including prospective funders, and create a shared repository to ensure long-term accessibility and institutional continuity.
They will build templates and workflows for impact reports that translate data into clear, donor-ready narratives. To support strategic fundraising, the member will analyze giving trends, develop heat maps, and research socioeconomic and health indicators that shape community needs. They will create a standardized guide for updating these indicators annually, embedding it into staff onboarding and storing it in a centralized digital repository with version control.
The Specialist will also develop a comprehensive set of stock narratives grounded in reliable data sources, along with a reporting template that future staff can replicate. Finally, the member will produce a crosswalk that links healthcare needs to potential funding sources, creating a user‑friendly manual that consolidates all tools, references, and processes. By building these systems, the VISTA member will help direct philanthropic resources toward programs that expand healthcare access, reduce financial barriers, and improve health equity for residents across El Paso County.
