Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating patient transfers, ensuring effective communication between healthcare providers, and maintaining high standards of patient care in a fast-paced call center environment. Facilitates the prompt transfer of patients between facilities and internal transfers, utilizing clinical expertise to assess patient needs and determine appropriate transfer options, ensuring continuity of care. Acts as a central communication source for all components of the patient transfer process, including direct admissions and critical care support.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of pertinent patient information, transfer details and communication with healthcare providers. Advocates for the patients through consideration of patient condition, service requirements and urgency.

- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care and/or emergency department is required.
License/Registration/CertificationCurrent and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is required.
Current BLS training is required.
Obtainment of ACLS training within 6 months of being in the position is required.
Obtainment of PALS training within 6 months of being in the position is required.
Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) is preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
