Job SummaryFull Time Nights. This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus. This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level.
The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. It is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
ResponsibilitiesThe RN provides high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care.
Responsibilities include:
- Assume responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
- Administer all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
- Perform and fulfill all HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed in times of emergency and/or disaster.
- Know the hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
Education: Required:
Graduated from a state approved school of nursing or an accredited school. Preferred:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
Experience: Preferred:
Recent acute care experience.
Certifications: Required:
Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR. AHA BLS, and if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
