Cardiac Cath/EP Lab Registered Nurse - El Paso, TX

This role supports the Veterans Integrated Services Network 17 (VISN 17) during expanded operations and post‑COVID recovery.

To perform this project, the Registered Nurse must meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
• Licensure: Current Texas State RN license with BLS and ACLS certification.
• Experience:
  • Proficiency in nursing process for complex care; ability to guide others.
  • Charge nurse and float nurse experience in Cath/EP Lab.
  • Management of moderate sedation and patient monitoring during procedures.
  • Nursing care for patients undergoing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
  • Physical capability for crisis intervention and emergency nursing, including ACLS.
  • Coverage of cardiology procedure clinics and patient education.
  • Liaison between Cath/EP and acute/ICU settings.
  • Initiating cardiac/emergency IV infusions and monitoring.
  • On‑call for cardiac cath/EP lab, ready within 30 minutes.
  • Effective oral and written communication; keyboard and basic computer proficiency.
