This role supports the Veterans Integrated Services Network 17 (VISN 17) during expanded operations and post‑COVID recovery.
Services Task andJob Requirements
To perform this project, the Registered Nurse must meet the following qualifications:
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
- Licensure: Current Texas State RN license with BLS and ACLS certification.
- Experience:
- Proficiency in nursing process for complex care; ability to guide others.
- Charge nurse and float nurse experience in Cath/EP Lab.
- Management of moderate sedation and patient monitoring during procedures.
- Nursing care for patients undergoing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
- Physical capability for crisis intervention and emergency nursing, including ACLS.
- Coverage of cardiology procedure clinics and patient education.
- Liaison between Cath/EP and acute/ICU settings.
- Initiating cardiac/emergency IV infusions and monitoring.
- On‑call for cardiac cath/EP lab, ready within 30 minutes.
- Effective oral and written communication; keyboard and basic computer proficiency.
- Teamwork: Foster teamwork; lead when necessary.
- Leadership: Guide colleagues on projects.
- Business Acumen: Understand organizational processes, data, systems, people.
- Communication: Communicate to stakeholders at all levels.
- Motivation: Pursue quality and optimal solutions.

- Business Tools: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word);
