Responsibilities
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from five years of age through geriatrics depending on which unit worked. CNAs work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications- Education: High School Degree or equivalent;
Certified Nursing Assistant required. - Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness, preferred.
- Additional Requirements: Successful completion of Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures. May be required to work overtime. Some holidays and weekends are required. Must have current CPR Certification.
