Registered Nurse Pediatric ICU

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the unit’s Director or designee, the Charge Nurse assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit during designated shifts. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family, and other members of the health care team, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, delegates, and coordinates treatment plans and the plan of care.

• Texas or Compact State Nursing License.
• ACLS Certification.
• BCLS Certification.
• PALS Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in PICU preferred.
• Leadership and management experience preferred.
