Job Summary

Full‑Time emergency department nursing position at a 16‑bed small‑format hospital with an 8‑bed ER and 8‑bed inpatient unit (night shift 7 p.m.–7 a.m.).

• Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age‑specific, and developmentally/specialty‑appropriate nursing care by applying advanced specialty clinical nursing knowledge and skills, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients and families.
• Accurately complete concise, legible documentation on medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and behaviors, including the physiological status of patients.
• Present proposed revisions of interventions and define desired outcomes.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
• Follow physician’s orders in the delivery of nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, including COLA and CLIA regulations.
• Adhere to required infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques in the delivery of patient care.
• Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
• Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
• Assemble equipment and supplies for various diagnostic or treatment procedures in the specialty service area; assist others with procedures or treatments per legal, hospital/facility, departmental policies, and established nursing standards of care.
• Perform all quality assessment activities assigned and document results.
• Attend staff meetings or other company‑sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing, required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions.
• 2+ years full‑time RN experience in the ER or comparable experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required; ENPC certification from ENA may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English; written and oral communication skills.
• Pennsylvania Candidates Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance) and Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years or obtained prior to start date.
