Position Overview

Nurse Supervisor (RN) – Grandview, El Paso, TX. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position with no weekends, no call, and no major holidays. Hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Oversight
  • Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.
  • Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics.
  • Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters.
  • Ensure clinical operations and practice are consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Monitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.
  • Staff Development
  • Coordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in‑services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff.
  • Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff.
  • Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day‑to‑day guidance to less experienced nurses.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Minimum 5 years of active practice as a registered nurse, including at least 3 years in oncology.
  • 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Current or pending oncology certification preferred.
Working Conditions

Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology clinic environment.

Physical Requirements

Large percent of time performing computer‑based work is required. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
