Job Type: Full Time
This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN will assess, plan, implement and supervise direct clinical care of assigned patients on a per shift basis, supervise staff as appropriate, and support the CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective total nursing care to all patients.
- Coordinate and integrate patient care based on the nursing process.
- Direct care in accordance with established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and infection control, aiming for optimal patient discharge.
- Plan and coordinate patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
- Administer all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
- Perform HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles during emergency or disaster situations.
- Know the Hospital’s emergency codes and adhere to the Hospital policies and procedures for each.
- Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - Preferred:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Required:
1 year of RN experience for PRN status. - Preferred:
Recent acute care experience.
- Required:
Current licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law/regulation in the state of practice; AHA BLS, and by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
