Position Summary
This position is responsible for the day‑to‑day business operations of the IR lab and the oversight of technical personnel. This position provides direct patient care and collaborates with other members of the health‑care delivery team to deliver quality patient care, including assisting in procedures as a scrub tech, monitoring tech, or radiologic tech. The position is also cross‑trained to assist with non‑invasive procedures within IR and cardiovascular services.
Core competencies are assessed in accordance with the unit’s specific patient population served.
- Supply management‑supply purchasing and management of inventory, including consignment in accordance with HCA Supply Chain policies and procedures.
- Coordinates with Biomedical Department and service vendors to ensure operation and maintenance of the CVS/IR equipment
- Assist in the development of new service lines
- Development of policies and procedures for new service lines.
- Management and accountability of CVS/IR lab equipment.
- Advises Director on new equipment acquisition to ensure cardiovascular services is technologically competitive.
- Responsible for competencies of the CVS/IR lab technical personnel including coordination and administration of didactic and hands‑on training, teaching and evaluation.
- Ensures sterile technique and patient safety are maintained.
- Assists the Director in supervision of the CVS/IR lab technical personnel.
- Serves as departmental radiation safety supervisor and ensures hospital radiation safety policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
- Assists with procedures in the CVS/IR Lab to include the delivery of non‑narcotic medications to IR/CVS medical staff and licensed staff during procedures. This is accomplished as a non‑interruptive single task from one point to the other.
- Assures daily charges are complete and accurate for both CVS/IR procedures.
- Develop and maintain strategic physician relationships
- Maintains professional development and license requirements.

Licensure/Certification s
- Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Registered Nurse or Radiography Technologist.
- Associate’s degree in related field
- Supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Interventional Radiology
- Bachelor Degree in related field
