Job Shift: Night
Job Type: Per Diem
This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN will assess, plan, implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and at the unit level. Responsibilities include supervision of staff to whom appropriate care is delegated, supporting the CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competence of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management.
Responsibilities- Provide high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients.
- Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
- Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and infection control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care.
- Coordinate and plan patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
- Administer all medications safely and timely per hospital policy.
- Perform HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergencies or disasters.
- Know the hospital’s emergency codes and adhere to hospital policies and procedures for each code.
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred).
Experience: Recent acute care experience preferred.
Certifications: Current state license, AHA BLS, and, if applicable, AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP.
