The role provides direct clinical patient care. It involves assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients per shift and unit level. The RN supervises staff as needed, supports the CNO to ensure high‑quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and resource management related to patient care. The RN coordinates and integrates overall patient care using the nursing process, directs care according to safety, risk management, QI, and infection control standards, and aims for an optimal patient discharge.
Responsibilities also include medication administration per hospital policy, fulfilling all HICS responsibilities during emergencies or disasters, knowledge of hospital emergency codes, and adherence to emergency policies and procedures.
Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
ExperiencePreferred recent acute care experience.
CertificationsRequired:
Current license, certification, or registration to practice as required by law or regulation; AHA BLS; and, if applicable by corporate policy, AHA ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
