Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator ensures and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality patient‑centered care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in the unit in collaboration with management.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support facility engagement efforts by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; recommend and implement action plans for training, development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor aspects in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist in managing supplies and equipment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RN).
- Registered Nurse with Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or RN Diploma obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
