Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - FT Days | El Paso Rehab

About the Role

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching post‑hospitalization, and accessing community resources.

The RN may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care.
  • Plan, coordinate, and provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary and discharge planning.
  • Educate patients and families post‑hospitalization.
  • Access community resources as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned (e.g., Charge Nurse).
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of application.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment. ACLS is required from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Observation, and ICU.
  • One year of inpatient medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
  • Preferred: prior experience in emergency or critical‑care environments.
  • Preferred: comfort with ventilators, tracheostomies, PICC lines, etc.
  • Preferred: at least two years of direct patient care experience.
