Surgical Orthopedic RN

Position

Registered Nurse (RN), Orthopedics – ElPaso, Texas.

Provide direct clinical patient care for orthopedics. Work nights, 12‑hour shifts, 36hours weekly, ongoing full‑time staff position at The Hospitals of Providence.

• Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis.
• Supervise staff to whom care is delegated and support the Clinical Nurse Officer (CNO).
• Ensure quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and resource management.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care per the nursing process, following established safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control standards.
• Administer all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Fulfill Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies or disasters.
• Know and respond to the hospital’s emergency codes.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred.
• Recent acute‑care experience preferred.
• Licensed, certified, or registered to practice nursing in the state of Texas, and hold AHA BLS qualification.
• Additional certifications required by corporate policy for the unit (AHA ACLS, PALS, or NRP) are preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient‑centered care skills.

Shift: 12hours (night shift).

Hours:

36hours per week. Duration: ongoing.
