Position: Cath Lab RN - $30-43 per hour

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Cath Lab for a nursing job in El Paso, Texas.

Job Responsibilities
  • The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
  • The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
  • The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal of discharging the patient at an optimum level of care.
  • Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
  • Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
  • Performs and fulfills all HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster.
  • Represents knowledge of the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Required:

      Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    • Preferred:
      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
  • Experience:
    • Required:

      Must have 1 YOE of RN experience for PRN status.
    • Preferred:
      Recent acute care experience.
  • Certifications:
    • Required:

      Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law, regulation, state of practice or policy; AHA BLS, and if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
