Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week with weekend requirements alternating based on AM and PM shifts.
As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), you will provide exceptional care for critically ill pediatric patients. This unit specializes in managing a wide range of acute pediatric conditions, ensuring every child receives personalized and comprehensive treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.
- Perform critical procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, and chest tube placements.
- Administer medications and manage patient IV fluids as per protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Support families and educate them about patient care and treatment plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Current RN License.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Experience in Pediatric and Pediatric ICU nursing is mandatory.
