Registered Nurse Endoscopy, PRN Rotating

Overview

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s vision and mission.

Utilizes knowledge of patient’s developmental age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient and family-centered care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

• Work experience:
  
  At least one year experience within the patient care area that candidate is applying to is required.
• Education:
  
  Associate degree in Nursing required.

RN PRN candidates, whether internal or external, must have certifications noted in the table below by department at the start of assignment/employment. Certification by Unit:

• RN — BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, APHON, TNCC, ENPC (certifications required;timelines vary by unit as listed for each department)

• PICU — Required certifications listed; timelines include obtain within 12 or 18 months as applicable

• Pediatrics — Required certifications listed; timelines include obtain within 12 or 18 months as applicable

• IMCU — Required certifications; obtain within indicated timelines

• Hematology/Oncology — Required certifications; obtain within indicated timelines

• NICU — Required certifications; obtain within indicated timelines

• Perioperative Services — Required certifications; obtain within indicated timelines

• Emergency Dept — Required certifications; note: NRP and STABLE are required within 12 months from date of hire

• Float Pool — Required certifications; obtain within indicated timelines

• Transport — Required certifications; obtain within indicated timelines

• Nurse Imaging — Required certifications; obtain within indicated timelines

• Multispecialty Center — Required certifications; obtain within indicated timelines

Associate degree in Nursing required.

• Presents critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
• Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
• Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
