This full‑time night shift role is responsible for providing guidance and support to staff, maintaining a safe environment, ensuring patient throughput, and directing nursing staff. The charge nurse ensures smooth and efficient patient flow within the unit, delegates assignments and provides supervision for support staff based on training and patient acuity. The charge nurse works with medical providers to ensure quality of patient care and provides direct clinical patient care on a per shift basis, overseeing assignments of care and ensuring competency and resource management.

• Oversight of patient admissions, transfers, and discharges; mentorship and training of new staff; support and guidance to all staff.
• Monitoring medical charts, administering compassionate care, liaising with doctors and administrators, and communicating protocol changes.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining accurate records.
• Providing high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective nursing care; coordinating and integrating patient care using the nursing process; directing care per safety, risk management, QI, and infection control standards.
• Administering medications safely and timely per hospital policy; performing HICS responsibilities and emergency response tasks.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing.

Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience.

Certifications: Current RN license; AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as required.
