Role: Emergency Department Charge Nurse (RN) responsible for overseeing patient care, staff supervision, and unit operations in a fast-paced ER setting.
- Responsibilities:
Provide direct clinical care, coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, and ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing services. - Delegate tasks to support staff, supervise clinical activities, and mentor new employees.
- Collaborate with medical providers to maintain care standards, monitor medical charts, and communicate protocol updates.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, accurately record reports, and manage resources effectively.
- Handle emergency protocols, including HICS responsibilities and hospital emergency codes.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school;
Bachelor's or master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 1 year RN experience.
- Current licensure and certifications, including AHA BLS, with ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred.
- Strong leadership, clinical, and communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
