Position OverviewThe Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) supports the Project Quality Assurance Manager and Project Quality Manager in implementing the District Quality Management System (QMS) and project-specific Quality Procedures. This role plays a key part in conducting routine project audits and assessments, producing and organizing compliance documentation, and ensuring the QMS is consistently and effectively executed.
Experience supporting data center construction and a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical (M/E) systems is highly preferred.
This includes familiarity with major MEP components such as switch gear, UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, piping, ductwork, and other critical infrastructure typical of mission‑critical environments.

LocationThis position will start in Santa Teresa, New Mexico.
Candidates must be open to relocating as needed.

Responsibilities- Administer the Company Quality Management System and ensure consistent implementation across the project.
- Assist with developing and executing project quality policies and procedures.
- Support interviewing, hiring, and training quality personnel.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of company standards and guidelines.
- Assign and coordinate activities and schedules for Quality Auditors and Coordinators.
- Lead and facilitate Quality Auditor and Quality Coordinator meetings.
- Develop and manage the annual quality audit schedule.
- Facilitate and maintain the project’s Lessons Learned process and database.
- Review Division Quality Manuals and assist with updates as needed.
- Provide internal quality training and presentations.
- Participate in departmental and division standards meetings.
- Build understanding of ISO Standards and support compliance.
- Disseminate quality‑related information across both office and field teams.
- Associate degree in Quality Management or 7+ years of relevant Quality Assurance experience.
- Data center construction experience strongly preferred, with emphasis in:
- Electrical systems (switch gear, UPS, PDUs, generators)
- Mechanical systems (chillers, cooling systems, HVAC, piping)
- Critical MEP installation and commissioning environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence field and project teams.
- Proficiency with computers and software including Word, Excel, and database applications.
- Ability to work in demanding construction environments, including:
- Lifting 50+ lbs occasionally
- Navigating uneven or congested work areas
- Climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding
- Maintaining full range of motion required for field inspections
