QC Inspector

Job Purpose

Inspects finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies for conformance to company standards. Conducts routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in process and finished product, using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality.

• Proficient in the use of inspection tools such as caliper, micrometer, height gage, optical comparator, pin and thread gages.
• Ability to determine if components meet specifications according to a 2D drawing.
• Ability to run programmed components and follow documented procedures using the CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine).
• Able to make manual measurements using the CMM, such as hole locations and flatness.
• Accept help and have the ability to learn from Senior Quality Technicians and engineering.
• Document inspection results using FMP (receiving inspection reports, FA reports, NCMR).
• Post accepted components into inventory using Mass 500.
• Maintain proper part count for inventory control.
• Basic knowledge of products and production processes.
• Follows inspection processes and procedures.
• Understands all aspects of GCX quality guidelines and expectations.
• Represent Quality Assurance during VOC inspection of finished goods.
• This position is for a 2nd shift only.

• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints.
• Ability to accurately measure parts using precision hand tools.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal English).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.).
• Basic math and analytic skills.
