Job Objective
The Quality Engineer is an established performer that is responsible for maintaining and enhancing product and process quality within a manufacturing or production environment. This role focuses on designing and implementing quality control measures, ensuring adherence to standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties And Responsibilities Of The Position- Assist in the execution of the quality system by leading root cause analysis and specific quality projects.
- Lead implementation of standardized processes, procedures, and work instructions. Aid in the introduction of process improvements and enhanced inspection methods for the production floor.
- Analyze, evaluate, and report quality data to management personnel. Maintain quality data files for investigation, tracking, and reporting purposes.
- Provide ongoing quality system support which may include performing internal quality audits and ensuring implementation of root cause corrective actions. Assist in resolving customer quality issues.
- Perform on‑site inspections, review and approve supplier corrective actions. Devise methods to control non‑conforming product and collaborate with other locations to support overall quality goals.
- Gather data to analyze production problems and lead or participate on teams to develop solutions and implement process improvements. Ensure quality requirements and procedures are communicated, understood, and practiced.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other teams as needed.
- Work on projects and assignments as part of a large work team.
- Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions about potential job/work‑area impacts.
- Effectively apply functional, process, and procedural or technical knowledge to address business challenges.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 2-4 years’ relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six‑sigma and/or Lean certifications are desirable.
- Root cause analysis experience desirable.
- Familiarity with Minitab and SPC software.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.

- The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
