Job Overview
The Quality Technician (QIT) sustains a safe work environment and supports the implementation of Excellerate Quality plans throughout the manufacturing process. The role ensures all manufactured assemblies meet quality control standards under the oversight of a Quality Value Stream leader or Quality Engineer.
Minimum Requirements- Education:
High School Diploma or GED - Experience:
0-3 years of quality management experience - Travel: 0-10%
- Work Schedule:
Between 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am, Monday–Friday, depending on assigned shift. Overtime may be required.
- Demonstrate and ensure employees follow company safety policies.
- Meet safety, quality, and production performance metrics.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to 5S principles.
- Complete detailed procedures and checklists to verify and document equipment assembly to defined specifications.
- Work with Value Stream Leaders to define and implement quality requirements, plans, checklists, and deliverables.
- Provide inspection reports and support materials as required.
- Utilize the Non‑Conforming Material (NCM) process, including tagging, logging, and quarantine of NCM materials.
- Update the Excellerate Quality team on status of quality issues discovered.
- Collect quality data in manufacturing (inspection results, checklists, torque values, pictures, certifications, etc.).
- Support the Excellerate Quality Team in the CAPA Process (Corrective and Preventive Action).
- Conduct scheduled or random quality inspections on raw materials, work in process, and finished assemblies.
- Collaborate with Excellerate Leadership and quality teams at other facilities on implementing standardized quality tools.
- Assist with quality training as needed.
- Provide performance evaluation feedback and ensure effective employee relations.
- Actively participate in improvement projects and follow quality procedures, including NCM and CAPA processes.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
