Spec 1, Quality Control | El Paso, Texas, United States [About the Role]
Join a leading pharmaceutical team in El Paso, TX as a Spec 1, Quality Control contractor. This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity (8am-5pm, $26/hr) for chemistry professionals eager to leverage their analytical expertise in a regulated, growth-oriented environment. You'll play a vital role in ensuring product quality and compliance, while advancing your skills in a collaborative lab setting.
[Responsibilities]
- Conduct chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished goods, and stability products using GC and HPLC.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate quality reports and laboratory records.
- Implement and uphold all housekeeping and safety protocols.
- Oversee calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Develop, validate, and document new chemical testing methods in line with USP/ISO/ASTM standards.
- Troubleshoot experiments and interpret results using strong theoretical chemistry knowledge.
- Ensure strict adherence to GLP, GMP, and FDA guidelines.
- Support ongoing technical and material needs of the laboratory.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned with limited supervision.
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
- Minimum 2 years' hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical chemistry lab.
- Proficient with GC and HPLC instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of USP, ISO, ASTM testing protocols and validation principles.
- Consistently produces well-organized lab documentation and records.
- Knowledge of GLP and GMP regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures and uphold safety standards.

- Familiarity with FDA regulations for drugs and devices.
- Experience developing and validating chemical test methods.
- Advanced troubleshooting abilities in laboratory experiments.
