Position
Quality Control Technician I
LocationEl Paso, TX

Job SummaryThis position is responsible for efficient and effective performance of sampling raw materials and testing (except for the raw materials chemicals) in conformance with regulations and standards.
Responsibilities- Maintain Quality Reports.
- Maintain and implement efforts in housekeeping, and safety programs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the Metrology Laboratory.
- Perform raw material sampling.
- Perform raw material inspections (excluding raw material chemicals).
- Understand and consistently follow multi‑step documented procedures while conducting inspections.
- Maintain accurate and well‑organized inspection records, notebooks, and worksheets.
- Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance programs for equipment.
- Provide QC support to new product development, launch, and capacity expansion projects.
- Support waste reduction initiatives that involve incoming inspection.
- Demonstrate regulatory compliance such as FDA inspection readiness, corporate audits, internal audits, and maintain training compliance.
- Demonstrate safety compliance with a focus on zero serious accidents.
- Contribute to successful EH&S audits with 0 major observations and support the overall safety index plant goal of 98%.
- Have awareness and respect of all company policies and safety rules.
- Maintain appropriate training/certification including GLP and GMP.
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- One year of experience reading drawings and using measuring tools such as calipers, rulers, and vision systems (preferred).
- Conversational knowledge of GLP, GCP, cGMP, and global drug and device development processes (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized and self‑motivated.
- US citizens or legal residents (GC holders, EAD, CPT, OPT).
- Knowledge of and ability to follow documented QA procedures.
