Quality Technician
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure products meet established standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. This role works closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to maintain product quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges, etc.).
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or processes.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Participate in internal audits and quality system compliance activities.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
- Prepare quality reports and metrics as required.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.).
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- 3+ years of experience in quality inspection or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience using inspection and measurement tools.
- Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Manufacturing environment.
- May require standing for extended periods.
- Occasional overtime as needed.
