Position: Npi Technician  (ID #499973)

NPI Technician

The NPI Technician will support New Product Introduction (EVT/DVT/PVT) builds by preparing material kits, validating components against BOM requirements, and assisting with line setup and system configurations to ensure successful pilot execution. Key Responsibilities Pilot Build & NPI Support

  • Execute pilot-run tasks for EVT, DVT, and PVT builds.
  • Perform basic SFC transactions and system configurations.
  • Track material status and kitting readiness throughout pilot runs.
  • Support line layout, workstation readiness, and adherence to work instructions.

Process & Compliance

  • Follow SOPs and WIs across all NPI phases.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, audits, and documentation requirements.
  • Document traceability and escalate discrepancies as required.

Systems & Tools

  • Utilize MIC, MIC QA's, DM Edge, SAP, bmp, MFG, and Power BI.
  • Capture production data and support basic reporting and dashboards (training available as needed).

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with IE, TE, PE, NPI, and QA teams.
  • Ensure clear communication and handoffs during pilot schedules.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify waste and inefficiencies during pilot builds.
  • Propose kaizen improvements aligned with NPI learnings.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with NPI processes (EVT/DVT/PVT).
  • Ability to learn and operate internal systems.
  • Basic data analysis skills using Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support shifting pilot schedules.

Core Competencies Technical Execution

  • Read and interpret BOMs and technical documentation.
  • Validate components and perform ESD-safe material handling.
  • Troubleshoot basic assembly or test issues.

Systems & Data

  • Operate SFC systems and capture production data accurately.
  • Build simple reports or dashboards in Excel or Power BI.

Process Discipline

  • Follow SOPs and WIs through EVT–DVT–PVT phases.
  • Support kitting, line setup, and change control activities.

Quality & Compliance

  • Adhere to internal audit requirements.
  • Document CTB and traceability evidence and escalate issues.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional engineering and quality teams.
  • Maintain clear communication during pilot execution.

Region / Country Specific Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  • Must be able to provide a valid residential address and driver's license.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
