Quality Inspector 2nd Shift - El Paso, TX

Job Summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division located at 7800 Trace Center Avenue in El Paso is currently seeking a Quality Inspector for the 2nd Shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am. The base pay is $19.76 per hour with a $1.00 per hour shift differential. This position is eligible for a variable incentive program. The role is on‑site at the Eaton El Paso, TX facility.

As a Quality Inspector you will verify correct wiring, components, program controllers, and conduct electrical testing of switchboard products and components in accordance with test procedures and applicable literature. Your work supports timely order fulfillment and adherence to Eaton’s quality standards.

• Inspect Hi‑Pot switchboard products produced on all lines, confirming proper function of switchboards and electrical components, identifying non‑conformances, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications, safety, and quality requirements.
• Use Hi‑Pot, continuity test, and component‑specific testing devices to perform electrical testing, verify switches and circuit breakers, and verify torqued connections using a torque wrench per inspection instructions.
• Inspect and verify mating structures in line‑up to ensure a complete job and problem‑free field installation.
• Confirm that any revisions released to the production floor regarding functionality and customer specifications are incorporated into the product and documentation reflects the current revision.
• Document and communicate non‑conformances, verify required rework, and assist with continuous improvement efforts. Communicate design errors to appropriate front‑end personnel for correction and rework verification.
• Serve as an informal trainer for production associates and provide assistance for complex tasks and product requirements that are not precisely defined.
• Troubleshoot, update, develop test setups, and create new procedures when current procedures are inaccurate.

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing, production, or military experience, or a degree in a technical discipline.
• Must reside within a 50‑mile radius of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility; relocation benefits are not offered.
• Eaton will not provide immigration sponsorship or support for this position.

• Two or more years of experience in a Quality or Inspector position in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in switchboard assembly.
• Computer literate.
• Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics.
