Conversion Salary:

$110K + OT + Per Diem comes out to about $160-170K per year

6-month contract to hire

Current project has 6 months left on it, then they will need to move them to another project. This person may move sooner than 6 months as they may be training their replacement and then moving on.

• MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL ONCE CONVERTED TO PERM EMPLOYEE
• MUST have BESS experience (ideally safety, QA, or QC)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Quality Management in large commercial construction projects
• Can interpret and talk through contracts, interact with and manage the client
• Understanding of multiple fields: electrical, mechanical, civil
• MUST be well-spoken; they will be talking directly to the client every day

The Site Quality Manager is the senior quality representative on a large commercial Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction project and is responsible for implementing, managing, and enforcing the project’s Quality Management System (QMS).

This individual oversees site quality activities from project mobilization through final turnover, ensuring civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning work is completed in accordance with contract specifications, engineering drawings, applicable codes and standards, manufacturer requirements, and established quality procedures.

The Site Quality Manager works closely with Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Safety, Commissioning, subcontractors, and client representatives to proactively identify risks, resolve deficiencies, minimize rework, and support successful project delivery.

• Implement and maintain the project Quality Management Plan (QMP).
• Develop and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for applicable construction activities.
• Ensure quality activities comply with project specifications, engineering documents, customer requirements, manufacturer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
• Maintain complete and accurate project quality documentation throughout construction.
• Establish and reinforce quality expectations across field teams and subcontractors.

Provide quality oversight for major scopes of work associated with a large commercial BESS project, which may include:

• Site development and civil construction
• Grading, drainage, and underground utilities
• Foundations and concrete work
• Battery energy storage equipment installation
• Electrical equipment installation
• Underground conduit and duct bank installation
• Cable pulling and termination
• Grounding systems
• Medium-voltage electrical systems
• Transformers and associated electrical equipment
• Controls, communications, and SCADA systems
• Mechanical completion
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning support

• Schedule and coordinate required inspections.
• Perform field inspections to verify workmanship and specification compliance.
• Ensure required hold points and witness points are properly executed.
• Coordinate inspections with engineering, client representatives, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors.
• Verify required testing and documentation are completed before work progresses.
• Monitor installation activities for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.

Maintain project quality records including:

• Inspection reports
• Material receiving inspections
• NCR logs
• Punch lists
• Deficiency tracking
• Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
• Quality-related RFIs
• Material certifications and test reports
• Turnover packages
• Daily and weekly quality reports

Ensure documentation is complete, organized, traceable, and prepared for final project turnover.
