Job Overview

Applebee's is seeking a Server to greet guests, serve food and drinks, and provide a friendly dining experience. The role requires flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to the Applebee's service steps.

• Serve food, drinks, and accommodate guests' needs in a courteous and timely manner following Applebee's Ten Basic Service Steps.
• Deliver food and drinks to guests using the Applebee's team delivery system.
• Answer questions, make suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service.
• Relay orders to the service bar and kitchen via the point-of-sale computerized register system.
• Observe guests and respond to any additional requests.
• Present guest check to each table and accept a form of payment; make correct change and complete charge-card procedures.
• Participate in clearing and resetting dining room tables.

• Ability to obtain a State-approved Seller/Server Certification.
• Ability to wipe down tabletops, table legs, and booth seats; pick up debris off of the floor.
• Transfer plates, glasses, and baskets between dining room, service bar, and kitchen about 30 times per shift.
• Read, write, basic math, and verbal communication skills required.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.
• Transport glass racks and cases up to 25 pounds (e.g., a case of beer) up to 15 times per shift.
