Position: Retail Assistant Store Manager - 3751

$13.00 to $17.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the day‑to‑day operations of the store, promoting a positive and productive environment. This position will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers and rapidly addressing issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the quality and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be able to perform duties for extended periods and meet physical requirements (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated supervisory ability.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to work in multiple locations as needed.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Will work 40+ hours per week; hours based on business needs.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

Commission Plan Information:
