Position Summary
We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers in sales, loans, and other transactions across a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics and firearms (in FFL locations).
CompensationHourly wage of $11.00 to $13.00, plus commission of up to 8% on transactions (average $2.56 per hour on top of hourly rate). Employees also receive additional benefits (see Benefits below).
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and display of merchandise.
- Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items securely.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Collaborates with coworkers and managers, showing respect and clear communication.
- Works with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
- Completes assigned training successfully.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ready to perform job duties for extended periods including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Willingness to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

- Best working hours in the business; most stores open 9 AM–6 PM (many closed Sundays).

- Unlimited commission above hourly base rate.
- Vacation: 1 week after 6 months, 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after each subsequent anniversary; 120 hrs after 5 years.
- Sick/Personal: 8 hrs after 6 months, 16 hrs each anniversary (years 2‑5); 24 hrs after 5 years.

Commission incentive plan (proprietary to First Cash) allows Pawnbrokers to earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of their performance. More details will be discussed during the interview.
