Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers in sales, loans, and other transactions across a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics and firearms (in FFL locations).

Hourly wage of $11.00 to $13.00, plus commission of up to 8% on transactions (average $2.56 per hour on top of hourly rate). Employees also receive additional benefits (see Benefits below).

• Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and display of merchandise.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items securely.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborates with coworkers and managers, showing respect and clear communication.
• Works with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training successfully.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ready to perform job duties for extended periods including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission incentive plan (proprietary to First Cash) allows Pawnbrokers to earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of their performance. More details will be discussed during the interview.
