Store Manager Responsibilities
The store manager leads the store’s vision, Company Initiatives, and achieves sales performance goals by holding associates accountable for the execution of in‑store merchandising in multiple store units. The manager also leads selling programs, drives KPI results, and supports the omni‑channel experience while ensuring customer focus and a compelling in‑store environment for MFRM team members.
New Hire Onboarding & Team Building- Conduct one‑on‑one meetings to gain a deep understanding of the team’s motivations and aspirations.
- Develop a comprehensive team "bio book" that evolves as new insights are gained.
- Have 30‑60‑90 day check‑ins with new team members to discuss progress and opportunities.
- Conduct workforce management activities (store staffing schedule, reconciling punches, etc.) utilizing Operations team support and tools.
- Ensure company policies, appearance standards, and state regulations are followed.
- Analyze company‑provided reporting to determine appropriate staffing levels and partner with leadership for adjustments.
- Provide technical and product knowledge information to associates and customers and serve as a subject‑matter expert.
- Analyze company‑provided reporting and identify skill gaps to address through coaching.
- Achieve or exceed individual store financial targets through effective execution and customer service.
- Ensure store execution of product merchandising, marketing, and POP standards.
- Partner with marketing to plan, implement, and monitor the store’s social media strategy.
- Ensure timely opening and closing procedures and manage stock inventory levels.
- Follow all Company procedures on cash handling, sales processing, and inventory documentation.
- Execute company initiatives and related activities requested by the supervisor.
- Maintain awareness of competition, advertisements, and services offered, and develop counter‑strategies.
- Conduct store‑level inventory processes and research discrepancies.
- Lift, push, or pull 50+ pounds; stand or sit for 8+ hours at a time.
