$11.00 to $13.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution while working with a wide variety of merchandise, including tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).
The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity; pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.
- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items per company policies and regulations.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes assigned training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Should be able to work in multiple locations, as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan InformationThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information about the commission incentive plan is provided during the interview process.

- Maximum base payrate is derived from the applicant’s previous experience and skill sets applicable to the specific position.
