• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to bakery customers.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases and clean shelving and display cases.
• Maintain self‑serve displays in the front of the store and next to the bakery.
• Work with customers to take special orders.
• Collaborate with the Baker to determine items that need to be baked or decorated.
• Help with department cleaning, including hosing down floors with soap and water.
• Perform other bakery department tasks as assigned.

• Read and understand simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, often lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Food Handler Card or an equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
